We welcomed back our Chef Patron Cyrus Todiwala who hosted our fantastic Chef Demonstration Stage in the Leverhulme Hotel and whipped up an exciting selection of Christmas favourites with a twist. Cyrus was joined on stage by Michelin star chef Marc Wilkinson, local award-winning baker Ceri Newton and fine dining authority Richard Fox, to name but a few.
Children of all ages were thrilled with our range of interactive activities. From making friends with the real Rudolph in our reindeer petting area, creating Victorian Christmas crafts or walking our Christmas Food Fayre Trail, 'Stirring Spoons', there was plenty of activities to get the kids into the festive spirit. Children 5-11 were also able to take advantage of free cookery sessions with the Junior Chefs Academy.
This year, our brand new Street Food Market and covered seating area gave visitors the chance to recharge their batteries after a busy day of foodie fun, either take a break and enjoy musical entertainment or live theatre whilst deciding which producer to shop at next!. For those after a little luxury they could treat themselves to a glass of fizz in the Champagne Bar inside Leverhulme Hotel.

Whether it was gift hunting you were after, or a chance to relax and enjoy good food and drink or a fun day out with family and friends, Port Sunlight Christmas Food Fayre had everything needed to make this the perfect Christmas event.
The NowFood Project

We were very pleased to welcome The University of Chester to this year’s event. Their producer stall was in Hulme Hall so people could discover more about the food innovation centre they are building, which will benefit small and medium-sized producers from across the North West region. The centre will open its doors in January 2014, and is part-funded by ERDF. For more information, click here
